This cake always makes me giggle. For some reason it just always comes out looking goofy. Another egg-shaped cake, this time frosted in chocolate buttercream. After smoothing out the frosting I make the ears, adding pink for the inside of the ear.
Next, I use yellow buttercream frosting to make the mouth area. On top of that I add white to create the teeth. I also add the whites for the eyes at this point. To finish up the cake I use black to outline the mouth, nose, and eyes, and add eyebrows to give the monkey a mischievous look.

Elephant Cake

One of my favorite animals is the elephant, so of course I had to come up with an elephant cake! This cake is similar to the race car cake in that it uses the same egg shaped cake.
First, the cake is frosted in gray buttercream and smoothed out. Next, I add the ears, trunk, and tusks. I add eyes and a smile to complete the cake. Sometimes I add a tuft of hair on top of the elephant's head.
*Sweet Change: You can make this cake without adding the white shine to the eye and leave it plain black, or you can pipe white first and then add the black on top to look like pupils. You can even make the cake without the smile if you prefer.
